While some pay-TV providers are tied up in nasty battles with the studios that provide them content, Comcast and Scripps have just inked an agreement to bring the company's lifestyle programming to cable subscribers over the internet. As noted in the press release (embedded after the break) the multi-year deal brings HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network, Cooking Channel, Travel Channel and Great American Country to Comcast's TV Everywhere portal, via mobile (and "other" devices) and on Scripps websites. I love it when subscribers get more VOD content; it is a great day for those people. Hopefully they have allowed you to watch the shows that you like. Like the Paula Dean episode where she cooks a meatloaf totally during the commercial break. Don’t dare miss those remodeling shows; they prove that television can remodel any room in 60 minutes of less. That is of course if they have that particular show you watch, which would come down to someone somewhere that has no idea what you like to watch, so start sifting. I would rather stream shows that I want to watch instead of sifting through VOD titles, that is why I purchased a sling adapter. When I started working weekends at Dish I knew I was going to have problem watching football, but I avoided that tragedy. With my sling adapter working with the Dish Remote Access app I am able to stream all of my live channels and recorded shows to my phone no matter where I am, so I can always watch the shows I want.
